January has been a busy month: I attended the SWPP Convention in held at the Hilton Hotel on the Edgeware Rd in London. This is a huge international convention with seminars and workshops given by some of the world's best photographers. This culminated in the annual Awards Evening, where I was delighted to have one of my images in the last 4 in the Monochrome category. This was a huge achievement as around 13,500 images were entered into the SWPP competitions. I am also happy to report the I also gained a merit in the 20x16" print competition :)
The last week of january found me in Fuerteventura as a delegate (and speaker) at Photo Training Overseas. As well as attending superb seminars I presented a short talk on Equine Photography to the other delegates and speakers. Unfortunately I didn't duplicate my wins last year in Lanzarote (Portrait Photographer of The Year, Photo Art Photographer of The Year and Overall Photographer of The Year) , but I did have 2 of my images in the final 10 judging for the Portrait Category, so I was very happy with that! I have several Equine Portraiture sessions waiting for better weather, I love doing these - so why not make a booking for your special horse?
