Hello and thank you for visiting my website.

I hope that it will illustrate that I love taking photos and creating memories for you, your children, their children, their children's children, and so on... Photographs are all about documenting family history. This was brought home to me even more vividly recently when shooting a 90th birthday celebration. One of the relatives brought family photo albums from generations ago, and everyone was pouring over them. It has been commented that in this age when millions of photos are snapped every day on smartphones, iPads etc, this generation will have fewer images to pass down the line as photographs are seldom printed, and tend to be on some cloud or device which will ultimately be upgraded or lost.

I love to see the reaction when someone watches the slideshow from their photoshoot. Perhaps it's their little girl cuddling her pet chicken...or playing with her puppy...or children getting up to mischief with their grandparents... or their spaniel dashing into the river...or cantering their beautiful horse through the landscape, catching the sun's rays in their horse's mane.. or that little secret smile when the bride acknowledges those whispered words from her husband...

This is why I do this! These images give me warm fuzzy feelings and will stay with me forever, and I hope they have the same effect on you too. Our children grow up so quickly (don't I know it?), and unfortunately our beloved pets grow old and are inevitably replaced by new models (I know how this feels too..) but our photographs stay with us forever...

I am very lucky to live in a beautiful place on the edge of the Peak District and am surrounded by fantastic locations. You can come to me, or I am happy to travel to you if there is a location that is special to you. (There may be a small supplementary charge depending on distance).

If we are shooting outside and the weather is wild, then don't worry, we can rearrange at no cost.

Please have a look at my galleries and get in touch if you have any questions, or would like to book.

Many thanks

Helen
