Helen has had a keen interest in art, shape and form from being a child when she would happily draw people and animals and in particular horses. Rebelling from studying at art school, she qualified as a Veterinary Nurse later moving into the veterinary and medical pharmaceutical industries.
Photography first became an interest on her first ever holiday abroad when she went to Kenya in her late teens, and armed with a little Instamatic 110, she delighted in documenting the trip. Many years later she inherited her father’s early digital camera and was inspired to start again.
She has developed a broad interest: photographing horses and pets and their people; documenting special occasions; commercial and event photography and creating abstract fine art images from the natural environment. With over 35 years of owning, riding and breeding horses, Helen is well qualified to photograph yours with the utmost care and attention to detail.
Helen has since accumulated many days training both in the UK and abroad with some of the world’s most inspiring and talented photographers such as Charlie Waite, Kevin Wilson, Crash Taylor, Llewellyn Robins, Morag MacDonald and Saraya Cortaville.
Helen is based in The Peak District and works across most of the UK.
