Studio sessions*

For stunning portraits or your adored pets, my studio is cosy and welcoming. Beforehand we will discuss your pets character and work with him to create gorgeous portraits to brighten your home and make you smile.

But... it's not just about your dogs and cats - ask about childrens' sessions, or include them with your pet! Check out our family White Box sessions - hugely original  and great fun!

Location sessions*

Outdoor dog portraits

The studio is situated in a very rural area just on the edge of The Peak District. There are fantastic locations on the doorstep combining stunning views and natural flora and fauna. This is ideal for dog photography, or you may wish to include the whole family.

If you have a favourite location that is special to you, I can come to you.

Equine portraiture

These normally take place at the owner's yard or an agreed location. We will have  either a phone or online pre-shoot consultation to discuss your requirements before the day.

You may be looking for just some beautiful images of your horse, (which of course we can do) but this is also your chance to have a gorgeous portrait with your equine best friend, so even if you hate having your photo taken (as many do) it is worth having one or two together and I promise it will be painless and I will guide you all the way so we will end up with fabulous and natural portraits!

Please note: depending on distance, travel expenses (at cost) may apply).

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring my other dog or cat to the session?

If you would like to bring more than one pet please discuss with us first. It will be fine, but you may need to bring another person with you.

My dog can be a bit lively and I'm worried he won't sit still

Don't worry, he may surprise you! We will stay calm and I have lots of patience. As a qualified ex- vet nurse I am used to handling animals. We will capture some lovely images!

Can I or my children be included in my pet's session?

Yes of course! If you would like to include your children in some images too, that will be fine, but we can discuss all of this beforehand during your pre-shoot consultation. Depending on how many and the age of your children, I may suggest a friend or relative brings them at the end of the session, so they don't get bored!

My dog is very nervous and I'm worried he won't behave.

We will take everything very calmly to reduce any stress levels (yours or your dog's!). Your dog will dictate what we do with him. We aim to make it a fun experience cuminating in gorgous images for you to show off. If we find he is just too anxious in the studio then we will do our shoot outside in the surrounding countryside. We will still get some gorgeous images, so don't worry!

My dog wears a harness and can't be let off the lead. Can we still do an outdoor session?

Yes! Although we will need to remove his harness, we can use a lead which I can remove in post production afterwards.I do supply slip leads which are less visible than a collar and lead, but bring your own collar and lead anyway.

Can my children and/or my dog or mybe included in my equine session?

Yes of course! We will have a detailed pre-shoot consultation to discuss your requirements where we will work together to make it all come together!
