Cats
Cats are very much just as big a part of the family as dogs, but sadly fewer get to have professional portraits done. The hardest part is probably getting them into the cat carrier for the journey! It's always worth practicing getting them used to the carrier before they need to travel so that it's not such a fraught experience for either you or them! (It will also make any future visits to the vets easier). Feeding them their favourite treats inside with the door open so they can come and go will help enormously. When you arrive we will lock the door behind you and let them have a wander around whilst we have a cuppa and a chat. Toys (or even just a piece of string) helps to distract them and we will just take our time with lots of breaks and nice treats. Do you have a black cat that look just like a black blob on your phone pics? How lovely would it be to have a beautifully lit portrait of them for your wall?
I am a specialist in cat photography. Indeed, my qualification panel for my Fellowship with The BIPP consisted purely of cat portraits!
