Celebrating Success at the 2023 BIPP Awards

Her Mistress's Voice_BIPP_Bronze2023.jpg

We are thrilled to announce that Helen Spiegl Photography has been recognized for our exceptional pet photography in the recent 2023 British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP) International Print Awards. Ten of our images made it through to the finals and two of those were awarded Bronze distinctions.

Our image, 'Her Mistress's Voice,' was created with Spanish rescue dog Myrtle and an original gramophone owned by my late father Fritz Spiegl. You may also be able to spot on the turntable an original HMV shellac record, which when the gramophone handle is turned, plays The Gorgonzola Song from 1928 (who knew?!)!

The second image to get a Bronze Award is "Waiting For The Guns'

This was a fun but tricky image to create involving 8 beautiful working spaniels belonging to Bob Glynn of Woodcock and Snipe Hunter Ltd. My husband Marcus helped with the shoot and as his quest to own a spaniel continues, Bob was lucky to find that there wasn't one missing on his return home to his base in mid Wales!

We are proud to be recognised in such a respected international competition and continue to dedicate ourselves to providing the highest quality pet portrait photography.
